Showing Up Is the Real Work

This week I ran something I called the ClearShift Sprint. Five days of simple, consistent effort to reconnect with people and move the business forward - even during a quiet patch.

We visited some of our professionals while they were at work. They were thrilled to see us. We dropped in on a few establishments too. No sales pitch. Just showing up. Checking in. Being human.

There’s something powerful about that.

No perfect plan. No ads. No fancy tools.Just walking in, saying hello, and reminding people that we’re here and that we care.

We also posted updates every day - sharing the sprint in public, even though nothing was guaranteed to happen. No hacks. Just momentum.

Try This: A Sprint of Your Own

If you’re in a quiet patch, try it.

→ Choose a small goal - reconnecting, showing your work, or checking in

→ Do it for 5 days

→ Share it publicly (or don’t - but do it anyway)

→ Don’t wait to feel “ready” - you’ll feel ready after you start

The point isn’t to go viral. The point is to go.Because clarity follows action - and clients follow consistency.

That’s What Rework Is About

This is exactly what I mean by Rework.Build light. Show up. Share the journey. Do the real work.Even when it’s quiet. Especially then.

I’ve added my ClearShift Sprint updates to the Rework JUMP blog - if you’d like a glimpse of what this looked like in practice.

And if you’re in your own version of this… I’d love to hear about it.
