What 5 Days of Focus Taught Me About Traction

Your platform isn’t a product — it’s a project. And that’s good news.

Last week, I ran a 5-day sprint to revive one of my projects: ClearShift, a hospitality staffing platform I co-founded.

It had gone a little quiet.I felt stuck. And to be honest — I needed a reason to believe in it again.

So I decided to show up, every day, for 5 days — no matter what.

  • I followed up with old contacts

  • Checked in with people we’d placed before

  • Posted raw updates (even when I didn’t feel like it)

It wasn’t perfect. But momentum returned. And that was everything.

One big lesson?

Your platform is a project — not a product.

A product can sit still. But a project needs presence. It needs you — your effort, your attention, your belief.

That’s how things move. And movement is what creates results.

You can do this too

You don’t need funding. You don’t need code. You just need to pick something and start.

→ Show up daily

→ Keep it manual at first

→ Use tech and AI to speed up what already works

→ Let it be scrappy, personal, and imperfect

This is exactly how I run Rework — and it’s how I help others do the same.
